2023-04-14 Thompson Park

What's better than a clear moonless night? Several of them in a row!

I'm also planning to head out to the Clubhouse at the Arbo tomorrow night, but it feels like we should really take advantage of the clear night tonight too.

I'll be heading to Thompson Park to try to continue imaging Messier 94, in addition to doing some binocular observation of the Last of the Winter Objects.

Last night were doing NGC 3226-3227

Hi guys, I thought I'd add my 2 cents here and increase the traffic on this forum ;-P Angie and I were out the same night but at my favourite dark sky site in St. Anicet. I installed a nice sleeping cushion  in my Jeep and we stayed the whole night and had a good sleep. However, the astro results suffered since I forgot to align my scope before slewing to my intended target. Finally I went to M101 with limited time. I reduced my exposures to 2 mins ea. and got about an hour of total exposure -Cheers
