NOVA Seminar - Intro to Astronomy

Interested in the night sky? Get started with our six Introduction to Astronomy seminars.

Developed by expert amateur astronomers from the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) as part of the New Observers to Visual Astronomy (NOVA) series, these six seminars will give you all that you need to get you started and fuel your passion for the night sky.

Oct 16 – Orienting yourself in the night sky
Oct 23 – Measuring the moving sky
Oct 30 – Constellations and asterisms
Nov 6 – Seasonal observing
Nov 13 – Equipment
Nov 20 – Helpful tools

Each seminar begins at 7.00 pm, and will end no later than 8.30 pm

All seminars will take place in:

Price to attend all six seminars:
RASC member – $30.00
Non-RASC member – $60
Child/Youth under 18 – $10, but must be accompanied by paying adult
