The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) Montreal Centre invites you to a special Public Zoom Presentation about Comet NEOWISE c/2020 f3 by RASC Montreal Board Member David Shuman. This comet has been observed in the Northeast horizon for the early morning hours as it passed it’s closest approach to the Sun earlier this month, and is now moving away from the Sun but passing it’s closest approach to Earth. David will share information on this naked-eye comet that will (hopefully) be visible in the Northwest early night sky over the next few weeks. Learn about comets, how they are discovered, observed and photographed. This Zoom Presentation will be held on Wednesday, July 22nd starting at 8pm EDT.
Following the COVID-19 Pandemic measures, participants should download Zoom to join our public events on their computer, tablet or cell phone, or use one of the call-in numbers to attend by voice-only.
