The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) Montreal Centre invites you to a Public Presentation by Bettina Forget, the new Director of the Artist in Residence (AIR) Program at the SETI Institute (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence). Bettina is a local Montreal Artist, owner of Visual Voice Gallery, and a former President of the RASC Montreal Centre. This Zoom Presentation, Making Contact, will be held on Wednesday, July 8th starting at 8pm EDT.
The mission of the SETI Institute is to explore, understand, and explain the origin and nature of life in the universe and the evolution of intelligence. The Institute is also an international leader in the movement to integrate the arts and the sciences. The SETI AIR program facilitates an exchange of ideas between artists and scientists so that these disciplines may inspire each other to catalyze new modes of comprehension.
Bettina Forget, the Director of the SETI Institute’s Artist-in-Residence Program, will present a brief outline of the work done by the Institute and showcase examples of the outstanding works created by the SETI AIR artists over the last ten years.
