The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) Montreal Centre is pleased to present its Centennial Anniversary Townsend Public Lecture on Sat, Sept 29th at 7:30pm (doors open at 7pm) at John Abbott College, in Penfield Building – Room 204. The Keynote Speaker will be the Canadian Space Agency (CSA)’s Steve Iris, Mission Manager for the RADARSAT Constellation Mission (RCM), which launches in November 2018. The evening will also feature a special video message from Astronaut David Saint-Jacques to the RASC National Society, celebrating 150 years. Our local centre – RASC Montreal has been celebrating it’s 100th orbit around the sun with a series of higher profile member & public events through 2018, including hosting 400 people at its Bellevue Observatory in Morgan Arboretum for the Perseids Meteor Shower last month. We hope you will join us for our Keynote Event on Sept 29th, celebrating our Centennial year serving the greater Montreal Area with public outreach in Astronomy.
