Time to bundle up! We’re about to be hit by this year’s best meteor shower. The Geminids will streak our skies from December 13 – 15, 2010, with the peak between midnight and sunrise on December 14. Your best bet is to get up very, very early on the 14th, and then to look east, low on the horizon. The Geminids are bright, but if you want to get the most out of this shower try to get to a location outside the city, away from urban lights. We’ll be lucky, the Moon is almost new on the 14th, so its light won’t interfere with the Geminids.
If you managed to spot some Geminids, leave us a comment!
