Spaceweather Radio
If you stuck under cloudy skies during the Geminid meteor shower, don’t despair! You don’t have to miss out on tracking the shooting stars just because you can’t see them. You can still hear them!
Check out Spaceweather Radio. They are tracking the Geminid meteor shower by radar, so you can hear each meteorite buzz through the atmosphere as a loud whistle. This is very, very cool, and definitely worth a listen. The primary antenna is based near lake Kickapoo (yes, that’s the real name) in Texas, with a secondary station in Roswell, New Mexico.
